• the notwist'in parçada anlatmak istediği kısaca şuna denk gelir:
  
  kimyasallar, kimya sallar . . . ^*
• the notwist eseri chemicals'ın 3. dakikasında giren inanılmaz melodi tüm şarkıyı bir anda alır götürür. sırf o kısım için tekrar tekrar dinlemek ister insan. zaten şarkının düzenlemesinin sıradanlığına rağmen bu kadar etkili olması tamamen ufak dokunuşlarda saklıdır. the notwist hiçbir zaman şiirsel, karmaşık, edebi şarkı sözleri yazan bir grup olmamıştır. her şeyi özetledikleri 5-10 satır üstüne güzel bir ritm tutturur, ardından gitarları ile süslerler. bu formülün ne kadar iyi sonuç verdiğini bu şarkı ile keşfetmiş olmaları muhtemeldir, zira şarkıya biraz uzakdoğu esintisi katmak sureti ile neon golden'a bile koyabilirlermiş.
