• 3rd bass'in palyaçosu, yeteneksizin allahı. beastie boys 88'de def jam'le yollarını ayırdıktan sonra russell simmons'ın barda keşfettiği bu beyinsiz ve 2 arkadaşı 3rd bass olayını başlattılar ama 89'daki ilk albümlerinde özellikle son of 3rd bass parçalarının sözlerinde beastie boys'u hedef alan sözleri ile kendisinden nefret ettirmeyi başarmıştır. 92'ye kadar sessiz kalan beastie boys son sözü professor booty'de söylüyor ve savaşın galibi oluyordu ama mike d'nin mc serch'i hedef alan sözleri unutulmaz:
