• albumun kime adandigi daha ilk sarki of two beginingsde belli edilmistir.. album, daniel'in daha 10 yasinda asik oldugu 12 yasindaki sevgilisine yani second love'ina yazilmistir.. dryad of the woods'una.. bu askin safligi this heart of mine ve fandango'da muhtesem bir sekilde anlatilir.. ancak daniel'in askin buyuklugunun getirdigi sorumluluk ve verdigi sozlerin yasindan buyuk olmasi nedeniyle kendisini kisilip kalmis hissetmesi bu askin sonunu hazirlamaktadir.. undertow ile anlatir daniel ozgurluk istedigini, chain sling ile anlatir nasil terkettigini.. a trace of blood'da bu askin olasi meyvasinin kaybindan bahseder.. rope ends ile terkettigi sevgilisinin hayatinin nasil mahvoldugundan.. tum yasananlardan sonra kendisini hep bu ask yuzunden suclu, yarali, eksik goren daniel bundan sonraki hayatini bir remedy lane olarak gorur ve bir turlu bulamadigi iyilesme ve ozgurlugu ending theme, waking every god ve beyond the pale'de tum karamsarligiyla anlatir.. 3 sarkinin ortak noktasi hayatin bir turlu ilk saf asktaki anlamina ulasamamasidir.. hep birseyler eksiktir.. tum asklar tum vucutlar anlamsizdir.. bir turlu bu acidan kurtulamamaktadir cunku o olmak istediginden daha cok "insan"dir.. hayati lanetlenmistir..

• asıl gizinin orijinal kitapçık okunurken dinlendiğinde ortaya çıktığına inandığım albüm...şöyle ki: (o kadar seviyorum ki bu albümü,üşenmeden hepsini yazacağım)
  
  prolog olarak ilk şarkının sözlerinden de evvel:
  
  "can you see him?
  
  lying alone on that hotel room
  but with her still present
  in the warmth of the sheets
  and the taste in his mouth
  and the sweat on his skin

  turning bleak
  a child of entropia
  setiing himself on fire

  ending themein ardından da şu cümleler yazılıdır:

  iki sayfaya yayılmış a trace of blood'ın şarkı sözlerinin arasında da şu dizeler dikkatimizi çeker:

  sevdiği insana verdiği sözleri anlatan this heart of mine(i pledge) ile aynı sayfada daniel yine öldürücü şeyler yazar:

  kızın intihar denemelerinin anlatıldığı rope endsin ardından daniel yine konuyla ilgili bişeyler karalar:

  bunun ardından psödö^*nün de bir kısmını yazdığı dryad of the woods sayfasına geliriz.tamamı şöyledir:

  bu albümün asıl değeri,dediğim gibi,orijinal cd kapağı elde tutulup,dinlerken arkadaki muhteşem artwork ve bu tür ara-yazılar dikkatle incelendiğinde anlaşılabilir.
• kitapçığında şarkı sözleri hariç bir çok yazının daha yazılı olduğu muhteşem pain of salvation albümü.

• harikuladeliğinin farklı bir yönünü keşfettiğim; başlangıcı başlangıç değil, bitişi bitiş değil.
  
  nasıl?
  
  of two beginnings, aksi istikametten bir fade out ile geliyor, sanki hali hazırda süregiden bir sohbetin içinde biraz biraz önem seviyesi artan bir konuyu belletir gibi. konsept albümlerin çoğunda olanın aksine, ne temel melodi ne de o temel melodiye referans olabilecek başka bir melodi ile. iki notdan ibaret, sanki bir lokomotif sürekliliği hissettirerek başlatıyor albümü.
  
  yani bu şarkı, "başlangıcı kaçırdın sen" der gibi.
  
  beyond the pale, gayet spiral bir melodiyle ağzımıza sıçarak başlıyor işe. teknik olarak hissettirdiği, "son"u yakasından tutup yanımıza getirdiği. manevi açıdan ise, bu melodiyi duyar duymaz tuhaf bir burukluk; sanki bir arkadaşın başına gerçekten kötü bir şey gelmiş de sonradan öğrenmişiz gibi. yanında olmalıymışız da sla olamayacakmışız gibi biraz.
  
  yani bu şarkı, "sonu kaçırdın sen" der gibi.
  
  ne başlangıcına ne de sonuna vakıf ettiren, ortaya koyduğu duygunun, anlattığı hikayenin tamamiyle tek sahibi, bu yönüyle içine kapanık biraz. kasveti de bir o kadar domestik.
  
  ama şu var ki, baştan sona hipnotize etmiş gibi esir ediyor kendine. bir de şu second love olmasaydı kusursuz olacaktı diye düşünmekte, bulabildiğim tek kusurunun bu olduğunu belirtmek istemekteyim.
• "if you are looking for a band that sounds just like your favorite band, just forget about us. if you are looking for a band that will make you forget about your favorite band, we are here, just walk down remedy lane a few times and you will never be the same again..."
  
  bir şarkıya/albüme ilk dinleyişte vurulup sonra haftalarca, aylarca, sıkılana kadar, uzunca bir süre dinlemek istemeyene kadar dinleyip tüketme durumunun işlemediği albüm.
  insanı "ben bu sesi farketmedim daha önce!", "bu melodi var mıydı burda?" gibi iç hesaplaşmalara sürüklüyor, "dinledikçe güzelleşiyor, güzelleştikçe dinliyorum ben de ehe" gibi klişe laflar etmekten alamıyosunuz kendinizi sonra. hayretler içinde dinliyorum hala.

• pos'un şarkılarının spotify'de yer almasından sonra 1 haftadır sürekli dinlediğim ve ne kadar özlediğimi farkettiğim albüm.
  
  müziği ile sözleri ile gerçekten inanılmaz bir albümdür. keşke pos müziğe şu ekip ile devam ettirseydi dedirtir.
• çarpık bir aşk masalı.
  
  tüm güzelliği ve çirkinliğiyle, olabildiğince gerçek. bu bir peri masalı değil.
  
  belki de bundan dolayı herkesin kendinden ufak da olsa bir şeyler bulabilir bu eserde.
• isveçli progresif metal devi pain of salvation’un 2002 çıkışlı son stüdyo albümü. “entropia”, “one hour by the concrete lake” ve “the perfect element – part 1” albümlerindeki kendine özgü sound’u bu albümde de koruyan, ancak genel anlamda agresif yanını bu albümde biraz da olsa azaltan grup, her zamanki gibi yine konsept bir albüme imza attı.
  budapeşte’de geçen ve grubun beyni daniel gildenlöw’ün yaşadığı bir takım şeylerle de bağlantılı bir aşk hikayesini anlatan albüm, genel anlamda tek bir ana melodi üzerine kurulu. albüm alışılmadık bir şekilde son derece sakin bir parçayla başlarken, ardından gelen “ending theme” ve “fandango” da bu durgun ve mid tempo yapıyı devam ettiriyor.
  albüm, şahsen benim de en sevdiğim pain of salvation parçası olan “a trace of blood” ile asıl patlamasını yaparken, bu şarkı; gelecek olan müzikal şenliğin de habercisi oluyor.
  albümü diğer pain of salvation albümlerinden ayıran temel özellik, albümün daha çok orta tempolu ve yavaş parçalardan oluşuyor olması. “a trace of blood” dışında, aksak ritmiyle “rope ends”, farklı vokal kullanımlarıyla “chain sling”, “waking every god” ve sondaki “beyond the pale” da albümün hareketli parçalarından. bunların dışında kalan parçalara daha karamsar ve acıklı bir yapı hakim.
  iki enstrumantal parçanın bulunduğu albümün japonya versiyonunda bonus parça olarak “thorn clown” yer almakta.
  vokalist gildenlöw’ün mike patton etkilenimli vokalini en güzel kullandığı pain of salvation albümü olan remedy lane, bir önceki albüm “the perfect element – part 1”’in satışlarını, piyasaya çıktığı ilk haftadan ikiye katlayarak grubun en çok satan albümü haline geldi.
  progresif metaldeki tartışmasız dream theater saltanatını da tehtid eder hale gelen grup, 2004 baharında çıkardığı ilk konser albümü “12.5”’te remedy lane’den de bazı parçaların akustik versiyonlarına yer veriyor ve özellikle “chain sling” yorumu dikkat çekiyor.
  önümüzdeki ay çıkması beklenen “be” albümüyle de yine kendini bir şekilde aşacağını umduğum grup, rock the nations 2004 festivali’nin en ilgi çekici birkaç grubundan biri olacak ve binlerce hayranını büyüleyecek.
