  1983 tarihli 13. bond filmi. yönetmen john glen. bond rolünde artık iyice yaşlanan roger moore var. daha çok hindistan'da geçen bir film ve bazı çekim ve görüntüler gerçekten güzel. ayrıca tavla sahnesi, kaplan sahnesi, yapay timsah sahnesi ve sirk sahneleri hafızalara kazınacak cinsten. senaryo diğer bazı bond filmlerine göre biraz zayıf kalsa da, bence roger moore'un oynadığı en iyi bond filmlerinden birisi. sonunda da tren ve uçak üzerinde geçen bayağı abartılı aksiyon sahneleri var, ancak temposu ve heyecanı gayet iyi. octopussy rolündeki maud adams (daha önce de bond kızı olmuştur kendisi), magda rolündeki kristina wayborn ve kamal khan rolündeki louis jourdan filme renk katıyorlar. gobinda rolündeki kabir bedi ve general orloff rolündeki steven berkoff'u da unutmamak lazım. filmin soundtrack parçası rita coolidge'den all time high. bence en iyi bond şarkılarından sayılmaz ama yine de idare eder. buradan izlenebilir; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md8uncyx_nc
